Lehigh Railway, LLC (LRWY) has received a $187,815.00 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) to upgrade the at grade rail-highway crossing at Chruch Street in Laceyville, PA with new automatically operated flashing light railroad crossing warning signals including gates, bells, 12" LED roundels, and modernized circuitry. Total project cost including the necessary paving and detour is $201,163.00.Laceyville Church St

April 20, 2015 - PennDOT submits application to Public Utilities Commision (PUC) to upgrade the crossing.

June 5, 2015 - Field conference held at the site.  Attended by PennDOT and LRWY.  Pennsylvania Electric Company, Laceyville Bourough and Wyoming County commisioners were invited but did not attend.

July 21, 2015 - PUC approves the application.

October 5, 2015 - PennDOT grant awarded.

October 23, 2015 - Detour signs in place but hidden.

October 26, 2015 - Detour activated.  Paving and railroad work begins.

October 29, 2015 - Detour deactivated. Paving and railroad work complete.

November 9, 2015 - Signal work begins.

November 13, 2015 - All work complete. Signal is IN SERVICE.

November 27, 2015 (scheduled) - Signal timing data collection complete.

Decemer 8, 2015 (scheduled) - PennDOT inspection.
